STB039 This is a stunning rare 80th Anniversary Of The Polish Air Force collectors official limited edition first day cover hand signed by historic Polish WW2 pilot Wladyslaw Guys who has personally autographed the souvenir where his signature rests perfectly below the special commemorative first day of issue frank. This superb signing has been officially certified by the publishers with full hallmarking and authenticity of the series on the reverse further detailed with witness signature added for the pilots signing (see image 2) limited to only 250 also detailed on reverse and in great condition.

He briefly served as the commander of No. 317 Polish Fighter Squadron; he was shot down on his first mission over France on August 27, 1944. In 1931, Gny? entered military service with the Polish Air Force. In 1933 he began air training in Grudzi?dz and later in 1936, was a flying instructor at the Polish Air Force Academy at D?blin. During the war he scored six victories - three solo and three shared - in the Polish and French campaigns._
