This vintage postcard features the Indian River Catholic Shrine in Michigan, showcasing the largest wooden cross in the world made of redwood. The imposing cross stands 77 feet above ground level on a grassy mound, with a striking sculpture of the Corpus cast in Oslo, Norway, by artist Marshall M. Fredericks. The postcard vividly captures the serene outdoor chapel setting, complete with rows of wooden benches and colorful flower arrangements.Printed by Mrs. C.C. Graham of Petoskey, Michigan, this original postcard measures 3.5 x 5.5 inches and uses Curt Teich's 3-D Natural Color Reproduction printing technique.
