Stoke Poges Thomas Gray Owl Bird Antique Phillimore Rare Postcard

NP88 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of Stoke Poges and portrait of Thomas Gray with quote from him too is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillmore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published approx 115 years ago origin and is a little age darkened but otherwise excellent unused condition (vg+ even though otherwise ex). RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
