Item Description

Vintage multi-view postcard from Soissons, France, featuring an artistic design with bean pods (haricots) incorporating inset photographic views of city landmarks. The inscription "De Soissons je vous envoie ces haricots" ("From Soissons, I send you these beans") references the city's historical association with beans. The images include the cathedral, monuments, and notable buildings. Mailed in 1908 with a 5-centime French stamp and a Soissons postmark. Handwritten message on the reverse.
