A postcard of the painting _Saint Sebastian_, created in 1473 by the Italian painter Sandro Botticelli (c.1445-1510).
Saint Sebastian (died c. 288) was a Christian saint and martyr, said to have been killed during the Roman emperor Diocletian's persecution of Christians. He is commonly depicted tied to a post or tree and shot with arrows, but he was rescued and healed by Irene of Rome. He was later clubbed to death for criticizing the emperor.
This postcard was published in Germany, probably in the 1990s. It is about 4 x 6 inches (10x15cm) size. It is unused and in Mint condition.
