STB039 This is a stunning rare Battle Of Adlertag 1940 collectors official limited edition first day cover hand signed by historic Knights Cross awarded WW2 German pilot Ralph Von Rettberg who has personally autographed the souvenir where his signature rests perfectly below the special commemorative frank. The autograph has been officially certified by the publishers with full hallmarking and authenticity of the series on the reverse further detailed with witness signature added for the signing (see image 2) limited to only 125 also detailed on reverse and in truly outstanding condition.

_Ralph Von Rettberg (1 March 1911 25 February 2004) was a World War II German Luftwaffe pilot and wing commander. As a fighter ace, he claimed eight enemy aircraft shot down.Mathews and Foreman, authors of Luftwaffe Aces Biographies and Victory Claims, researched the German Federal Archives and state that Rettberg is credited with approximately eight aerial victories. This number includes three claims on the Eastern Front and five on the Western Front._
