Spinner, reproduction of his signature and brief bio with the dates of his term, and each card back has a brief biographical sketch. The Tuck printing company, founded by Raphael, began publishing postcards in 1899 under the direction of son Adolph, who sponsored a series of postcard collecting competitions in 1900 and 1902 that prompted a craze. Soon after, he began to issue "limited edition" proof sets for collectors. Each approx. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". Standard postcard backing, unused, no stamps. Our photos show a sampling of fronts and backs. Set offered is complete and in very good to excellent condition. Message us if you have specific questions.
