Postcard tahiti moorea peak south pacific french polynesia oceania rare k127
Postally unused
Mo?orea (Tahitian pronunciation : /?mo-o-'ra-ä, 'mo-o-?ra-/ [ 2 ] ) is a high island in French Polynesia, part of the Society Islands, 17 km (roughly 9 mi) northwest of Tahiti . Mo?orea means "yellow lizard" in Tahitian. An older name for the island is 'Aimeho, sometimes spelled 'Aimeo or 'Eimeo (among other spellings misunderstood by early visitors with no knowledge of the language). Early Western colonists and voyagers also referred to Mo?orea as York Island.
These are vintage postcards. They may have marks, bends, creases, rounded corners, stains, small tears, etc. I take high quality scans of the postcards. Please review the attached photos for the full detail and condition of the card.
POSTALLY USED means the card has been sent through the mail and has a postmark date/ or postage stamp.
POSTALLY UNUSED means the card has not been sent through the mail but may still be stamped, addressed or contain other handwriting.
Shipping in the U.S. is free without tracking or $3.00 with tracking. Please check rates for international shipping.
