Peter Lawford The Rat Pack Antique Large Signed Hand Art Drawing

SMbox1 This vintage original early large hand drawing and personally autographed souvenir of Peter Lawford has come from the private antique collection of 1940s and 1950s Hollywood artist Ms Grace.E.Taylor whose extensive and specialist early collection of her personally drawn works of some of the greatest film actors and actresses of her era I have secured at my store. This particular work of art has been personally hand signed by Peter Lawford.  His signature rests accompanying his portrait and the signing is undedicated too.. Provenance letters which came with the collection show her writing to Hollywood stars asking her to sign her artworks after she had completed them (As an example of this I attach a random actors letter to the additional scans of this listing). All her works show great personality & character from 1940s Hollywood that cannot be replicated today. You really feel you are holding in your hands a personally detailed drawn item of the actors as she drew them when they were just very young & early in their career climbing their way to stardom and success.

This particular work of art is an antique hand drawing of approximately 8" x 7" on paper where she has captured the personality & character of the Rat Pack legend perfectly from the early days of his career.  Close examination of the scan will show you the extent of her toning, shading, colouring & expression in this work, which must have taken her many hours to complete all those years ago.   It is rich with detail personally created and surely represents one of the most unique personal souvenirs of this historic actor from the era you will surely ever find of its kind and personally hand autographed by the actor too.   I am selling all her collection and each shows the passion she had for the actors and actresses and the time & love which went into each portrait. There is a very small fault just a blue ink spot at the upper border (see scan) otherwise it is truly outstanding condition. In the frame this could be trimmed to remove this part as it is not part of the hand painting drawing itself but in either case it is really small.  The signature accompanies the portrait perfectly where the actor has written in blue ink "Sincerely Peter Lawford".
