BG666 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of the North Gate at Bridgnorth and the famous Seige at Bridgnorth from 1649 with battle artwork is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin unused with small corner impression from former album storage just to one corner otherwise outstanding condition. You wont source better.  RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
