NP94 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of Norham Castle and showing accompanying artwork of King Edward 1st awarding the Crown Of Scotland to John Balliol is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin where has been lifted from a postcard album and some of the page remains on reverse as residue to please allow otherwise excellent condition. RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
