Item Description

This is an original antique New Year postcard dating to the early 1900s, circa 1909–1913. The postcard features a beautifully illustrated angelic child holding a lantern while standing on a ladder beneath a starry winter sky, with evergreen trees in the background and the message “Wishing You a Happy New Year.”

Printed in Germany during the golden age of postcard production, this divided-back postcard was postally used and bears a 1¢ green George Washington stamp with a period cancellation. The back includes a handwritten message, adding authentic charm and historical interest.
