Concert building "de vereeniging" is a concert hall in the dutch place of nijmegen and was made by the architect oscar leeuw. De construction started in 1914 and the official opening took place in february 1915. Two extra years were needed to complete the 'small room' also. In the end "de vereeniging" could be called a 'gesamtkunstwerk' ("total," "integrated," or "complete artwork"). Besides architect oscar leeuw, his brother, the painter and sculptor henri leeuw jr. And the art painter huib luns made a contribution. In the building we find several characteristics of art nouveau and art deco.
