The town was founded in 1908, and it grew rapidly due to the homesteading boom. The town was named after its location near the Plentywood Creek, which was known for its abundance of timber. In the early days, Plentywood was a major trading center for the surrounding agricultural communities. The town grew quickly, and by the 1920s it had become a bustling center of commerce and culture in northeastern Montana. Photographer: Unknown The corners have very light wear.
