You can see Albert Hotel, General Store plus others. The town was named after the nearby river, which in turn was named after Saint Regis DeBorgia, a Catholic missionary. The post office was established in the year 1900. The area was initially inhabited by Native American tribes such as the Salish and Kootenai tribes. The first white settlers arrived in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The town was primarily established as a stop on the Northern Pacific Railway. Photographer: Unknown. The corners have very light wear. The image is nice and clean. Postally unused with a CYKO stampbox from the 1907-1920s time period.
