Item Description

This undivided back postcard that depicts 'Morris Avenue, Elizabeth, N.J.' was mailed from Elizabeth, New Jersey to Towanda, Pennsylvania in 1906 franked by a one-cent blue green Benjamin Franklin issue of 1903 (Scott 300; straight edge with guideline, bottom). The stamp is tied to the card by an American Flag machine cancellation.

Lightly struck Towanda receiving circular date stamp, picture side.

Postcard Specs: 'Elizabeth Novelty Co.'

Mild toning from previous use of corner mounts (nowhere near as pronounced as the image would lead one to believe) (see scans).
