King Edward III Seven Stars Inn Manchester Phillimore Old Postcard

NP93 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of The Seven Stars Inn Manchester with accompanying artwork of King Edward III who originally licensed the premises is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin unused and mint.  It also features a portrait of King Edward VII who was connected with the Seven Stars too (see scan). RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
