Item Description

Beautiful old card showing John and Priscilla Alden.  John was a crew member on the historic 1620 voyage of the Pilgrim ship Mayflower. Rather than return to England with the ship, he stayed at what became Plymouth Colony. He married Priscilla Mullins. Here they are pictured, Priscilla at the spinning wheel, holding a Bible, and John kneeling at her side.  John had his friends go to Priscilla to tell her that John wanted to marry her.  Here, Priscilla is saying "Why don't you speak for yourself, John?"  Cool Card, unused on the back
