Historic Monks at Dryburgh Abbey Phillimore Scottish Old Postcard

NP85  This stunning antique illustrator postcard of Drydale Abbey and showing some famous monks from its history all identified (Anselm The Apostle, Gregory The Ecclestiac and Jerome The Reformer) is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin unused some milder ageing fairly mild otherwise outstanding condition.    RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
