Henry III Granting Charter at Netley Abbey Southampton Phillimore Postcard

NP97 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of Netley Abbey and showing an additional portrait of Henry III authorising its historic charter is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin - it is with age darkening but this could be how the publisher intended this version of the card - It is graded very good plus condition. RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
