NP96 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of Gloucester Cathedral with history details of William The Conqueror and additional artwork of the Disaster Fire that took place in 1108 and then a second time in 1121, is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillimore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published between 110-120 years ago origin unused and pristine. RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character. I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store.
