Original German pre-WWI pioneer airship photo of the "MI", constructed by K¶niglich Preuischen Luftschifferbataillons / Royal Prussian Airship Works in Berlin-Tegel, built on the design by Major Gross and Nikolaus Basenach, of the type known as "Gross-Basenach", which was a semi-rigid airship design (not technically a Zeppelin, but an early competitor). Photos of these airships are rare; these were early experimental craft and most ended badly. Limited information from Wikipedia and D'Orcy's Airship Manual of 1917. Photo ca 14x7cm.
Guarantee:
All items are absolutely guaranteed genuine as described.
Any item returned by a competent authority (bpp, aps, vob, etc) may be returned within three months of receipt and we will immediately refund the cost of the item and our shipping fees, but we will not be responsible for the cost of the expertization itself.
We are members in good standing of the american philatelic society (aps) and have been on Hip since 1997 with 100% feedback. We are a colorado corporation (dba gothic stamps, inc) dealing in philatelic and numismatic items since 1992.
Payment:
We accept personal checks for USA customers, as well as PayPal worldwide. Credit card payments can be arranged for established customers. Layaway available for orders over $500; please inquire for terms. 6.7% sales tax is applied ONLY for Colorado deliveries.
Shipping:
We ship a heavy gauge flat container for stamps/covers or a very heavy-gauge tube for maps. Shipping can always be upgraded to Registered /Einschreiben or Express / Eilboten at our cost.
Shipping Times:
We generally send items within one day of cleared payment; usually the same day if received before 12PM. However, most of our business is in Europe or further abroad -- and we can do nothing if a foreign customs agency holds a package for a month or if the USPS takes three weeks to get a package out of the country (yes, both of these things have happened more than once). We are professional, full-time dealers in business for many years, and we treat your lots with care and consideration in a timely manner. Sp, when rating our shipping time, please look at the postmark and see how quick we sent it, not how long the postal services took to deliver.
