Very attractive and historic postcard showing German observation post at military encampment. 'Militarkommission der C.V.J.M. Soldaten-Lesestuben: Kreis Basel Tel. 753 Aeschenvorsfadt 22 - Postcheck V722' roughly translated as Military Commission of the C.V.M. Soldiers' reading rooms: District of Basel Tel. 753 Aeschenvorsfadt 22 - Postcheck V722 Armee-Fouragebureau Laufer magenta handstamp. In English at top margin reads, 'Occupation of our frontier, observation tower; with message in German on reverse. Addressed to Zurich, Switzerland. Very scarce card! Sent 1918 (Soldiers Mail) with some corner bumping and toning. Fine condition. Shipping is $2.00 domestic and $3.00 international. Purchases at/over $49.95 must be insured.
