Back of the Postcard: It is addressed to Miss Girlie Park, staying at Drayton Villa, Gerrards X, Bucks (Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire). The message reads: "With love from all at 36 Cowper Rd. Wishing you a Merry Xmas from Lizzie" Dated: Dec 24, 1906. The postcard bears a green half penny Edward VII stamp, postmarked Bethnal Green (London), Dec 24, 1906, 7:15 AM.Front of the Postcard: It features a charming black-and-white image of a dog and puppies in a basket with a snowy, winter scene and birds. The greeting at the bottom reads: "MERRY XMAS". The design includes the code "915. G" on the left and "J.B. & Co." on the right, indicating it's from J.B. & Co. series, a known early postcard publisher.Genealogy: In an effort to assist people researching their family history I have decided to make postally used pre 1935 postcards available for research purposes.
