Item Description

This 'Greeting Letter Card' was mailed from Douglas, Isle of Man to Monterey Park, California, U.S.A. franked by a 1/2d (faulty) and a 2d KGVI issue both tied by a machine cancellation. The foldout must have been creased (diagonal; see scans)) before mailing causing the disruption of the dial in the machine cancellation making the year date unreadable.

The foldout has eight views of Douglas:
General View and Promenade.
Fountain and Promenade.
New Prominade Gardens and Victoria Pier.
Peel Castle and Shore.
Sunday Service Kirk Braddan.
Bradda Head.
Port Erin.
...and a divided view with four smaller pictures:
The Sands and Promenade from Falcon Cliff.
Douglas from Douglas Head.
Loch Promenade and Clock Tower.
Sunday Service Kirk Braddan.
