NP85 This stunning antique illustrator postcard of dogs hunting to kill deers from their owners due to the Legend Of Roslin Castle is from Victorian born historic art illustrator RP Phillmore described as one of the greatest postcard artists of his time. It was published approx 120 years ago origin andthis has browning to mainly reverse and please be fully aware but otherwise great condition. RP Phillmore's postcards were notable for their distinctive sepia tone, delicate hand-coloring, and historical notes and have great unique character.  I am proud to offer one of the greatest RP Phillimore collections of its kind and please see all his other postcards at my store. The card details how the legend was King Robert Bruce would gamble the dogs would kill the deer before their crossing of March Burn (see lower right)
