Dan Agar of Australia Marian Edwards The Arcadians DOUBLE Hand Signed Postcard

PFAS202  This is an original antique hand signed postcard for historic old actor Dan Agar (later of Australian fame) starring with Marian Edwards in The Arcadians who have both personally autographed the postcard where their signatures rests perfectly accompanying their portraits on the souvenir and whilst just some mild surface and small places to allow this is very good (and otherwise mostly great) unused condition and the autographs are both undedicated too. British musical comedy and revue comedian Dan Agar came to Australia in 1919 as a member of the Bing Boys company. He went back home in early 1921, after having sued J.C. Williamsons Ltd for breach of contract, but returned to Australia less than 12 months later and remained here. Although a favourite on the stage up until his death from a heart attack, it was his 16 years on radio that made him a star throughout the country first with Athol Tier in Mrs Arris and Mrs Iggs (1934-40) followed by Mrs Obbs (1941-50). His career in Australia also included pantomime (as dame), musical comedy, revue, vaudeville (both stage and radio) and film.
