Captain Edgenorth Mad Gay LGBT Cigar Smoking Military Camp Old Comic Postcard

ZX381x   This pre WW1 postcard forms part of antique collection of real soldier army caricature cards drawn around 1911 by artist H.Allen of which the originals were hung in the Billiard Room at RE Mess Chatham.  This particular card was drawn of Captain Edgenorth from the barracks and as it seemed he was deemed as potentially gay by the army  he was drawn as a very effeminate man cross legged smoking his thin cigar in this highly accomplished sketch annotated with the artist and accompanying name of the serving army member and whilst just a little aged is unused and pristine.  Please see all my other cards from this same collection at my store.
