Captain Dunrford The Mad Army Camp Hockey Fencing Old Military Comic Postcard

ZX380x   This pre WW1 postcard forms part of antique collection of real soldier army caricature cards drawn around 1911 by artist H.Allen of which the originals were hung in the Billiard Room at RE Mess Chatham.  This particular card was drawn of Captain Durnford from the barracks and as it seemed his interest was hockey he was drawn as a mad hockey player using his hockey stick as a knife in fencing and as a weapon against the other players in this highly accomplished sketch annotated with the artist and accompanying name of the serving army member and whilst just a little aged is unused and pristine.  Please see all my other cards from this same collection at my store.
