Bob Campbell Newcastle One Legged Amputee Tap Dancer Old Postcard

nr03  Antique postcard of Tyneside's turn of the century Bob Campbell who wowed audiences in the 20s and 30s with his tap dancing act performed on one leg and a gem-studded crutch. He went on to become Champion One-legged Dancer of the World - telling people his limb was bitten off by a shark as he swam across the Tyne to North Shields. Has corner impressions from former album storage - Some surface, corner impressions that would seem from former album storage, and a little aged graded vg minus unused condition.  A very rare official character Tyneside souvenir from 100 years ago .

_He was the great uncle of Heather Mills who had great success in America's Dancing With The Stars. In an interview she said "Bob was my great, great, great uncle who lost his leg as a child after falling from the back of a horse and cart in Jarrow"._
