Antique 1963 Ventriloquist Dummy Doll Of WW1 Saveen Family Card

bg701  A rare antique 1960s card from the Saveen Family famous ventriloquist family whose career began in 1914 and details below which this was sent to someone they knew and one of the family has even hand wrote With Love on reverse (I assume the Saveen young performer child with the toy girl ventriloquists doll as the card is from them) unused and mint.

_A cockney printer born in 1914, Saveen, real name Albert Edward Langford, developed the Daisy May voice by learning to use one lung while recovering in hospital after being blown up by a German bomb. Daisy May was even listed in the telephone directory and was allowed her own bank account. Saveen also had some thirteen other puppet characters on the show, including Andy the Spiv, Sonny, and a dog who used to say ,Drop Dead in a very droll and posh voice whenever Saveen spoke to him._
