American Soldier Frank Creakman North Carolina Bowles Goolsby Fam Postcard D47

As shown, please view all of the photos. Back of card is written Mr. F.C. Creakman, American E.F. (Expeditionary Forces). I have attached a screenshot of a newspaper article that is for reference only and not included in the sale. Frank Cornelius Creakman b1875 d1927. He married Bernice Simpson. Sadly Frank and his son Bernard were killed June 16, 1927 due to an explosion of powder. He was a superintendent at a rock quarry in Hicksford Virginia. In 1910 & 1920 the family lived in East River WV and Pipestem. They had 4 children Frank Clinard, Orrin, (daughter) Ione Bowles Goolsby and Bernard. After his death it appears Bernice moved to Madison North Carolina. Both Frank and Bernice were born in North Carolina. Ione had a daughter Ruth Bowles Kotis and son Karl C Bowles. Locations of the family include, NC, WV, VA, KY, OH. Standars size unless otherwise Condition Description is normal wear associated with an old postcard or photo; it might have creases, corner bumps, ink, or pencil on the front.
