Beautiful 1910 embossed German-printed Santa Claus postcard showing an Old-World style Santa in a long red fur-trimmed coat. He carries a freshly cut evergreen over his shoulder, while another basket of holly and greenery is strapped to his back. A sprig of holly with berries decorates the foreground.Printed greeting at top reads:“Wishing you a Merry Christmas.”Front artwork is embossed, adding texture and depth, and the lower-left shows the FAS logo (Frances Brundage, Samuel Schmucker, or similar illustrator initials used by some German publishers — typically desirable).Back is divided and postmarked December 24, 1910 – Springfield, Ohio.
